Diagnosing the Narcissist-in-Chief from post by Adam Kinzinger. Trump has no empathy

If you don’t believe Trump fits the narcissist label, consider what psychiatry’s diagnostic manual says. A person qualifies for narcissistic personality disorder if they exhibit at least five of these eight traits:

Fantasies of unlimited success

A belief that they are unique and special

A need for excessive admiration

A sense of entitlement

A lack of empathy

Arrogant or haughty attitudes and behaviors

A belief that others envy them

A tendency to exploit others

On my scorecard, Trump is eight for eight.

Trump has no empathy even for his OWN people. Empathy is not in his vocabulary. That's why he and Putin get along so well. Putin does not give a monkeys about his own people. I doubt either of them will survive this year.

He has no empathy full-stop. In any case, his views and actions are determined by third parties (especially if we suspect he was recruited decades ago).

A key characteristic of Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a significant lack of empathy, meaning they struggle to understand or share the feelings of others, primarily focusing on their own needs and desires. This is insightful about the nature of Trump's make-up, because, even when Trump talks of all the killing of Russian soldiers and Ukrainians (soldiers and civilians) - it offends him personally -its a messy and to solve it would mean he could be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize. Is this possibility more important to him than stopping death.

Probably in the same place as Biden’s empathy for Gaza? Just a guess.
