Imagine this. The right-wing daughter of the former Vice President – once called the most dangerous man to have ever held the office – writes a book that warns against the frontrunner of her and her father’s party. 

This is where former Congresswoman Liz Cheney is right now. Like a character out of an ancient Greek myth, she is travelling the length and breadth of the country to warn the nation against a second Donald Trump presidency. 

She and her father Dick – former Vice President to George W. Bush and said to have been the mastermind behind the Iraq War – even showed up on Capitol Hill together. He came to be present during the Speakership of Nancy Pelosi, to defend his daughter against the onslaughts of her and his own party. She sat on the January 6 Committee, investigating the insurrection of January 6 2021 – and gave Trump no quarter. Republican after Republican fell under her relentless and cold interrogation, making the GOP look more like a cult than a political organisation.
