Byline Times is Coming to a Shop Near You With a World Exclusive Investigation
Our monthly print newspaper will be available to buy for the first time in WHSmith, Waitrose and 1,000 independent newsagents from next Thursday
Our monthly ground-breaking print newspaper will be available to buy in shops around the country for the first time ever next Thursday, October 26th.
Its front page, which we are keeping under wraps for now, will contain details of a major world exclusive investigation, which we have been working on for some time.
We’re excited to share it with you, so if you would like to get your copy then you can either subscribe here, or help to support our roll-out in shops by picking one up in your local WHSmith, Waitrose, or one of 1,000 independent newsagents around the country.
As well as breaking stories, our first ever retail edition will include exclusive columns and articles from, among others:
Green MP Caroline Lucas on her uphill struggle to fight the climate crisis
The former Attorney General Dominic Grieve on the populist takeover of the Conservative Party
Award-winning journalist and commentator Peter Oborne on how our modern press would have treated George Orwell
Journalist and biographer Sonia Purnell on Eton, Keir Starmer and Boris Johnson’s ex-wife.
We also have regular columns and stories from the Byline Times team, including our Chief Reporter Josiah Mortimer, our Political Editor Adam Bienkov, our Editor Hardeep Matharu and our Executive Editors Peter Jukes and Stephen Colegrave.
What the Papers Won’t Say
When we first started Byline Times four years ago we set ourselves the primary mission of printing ‘What the papers don’t say”.
In the years that followed we rose to that mission by leading the way on big stories, including the PPE scandal, Russian interference and the Dan Wootton scandal.
In particular, our willingness to investigate our own industry has set us apart. As our editor Hardeep puts in our upcoming edition: “Byline Times was founded as one of the only publications in the British media landscape willing to hold the press accountable.”
Doing so as a small independent news organisation has not always been easy. In the past few months we have faced serious threats, both legal and otherwise, and stood alone as bigger news organisations shied away from reporting on the biggest UK media scandal of recent years.
But thanks to the help of our loyal readers, 30,000 of whom now pay for our print edition every month, we have been able to go where the established press either don’t, or won’t tread.
Now the next step is to get our journalism into the hands of a much bigger audience, which is why our move into retail is so important.
So if you are able to support us next week by picking up a copy from your local newsagent, WHSmith, or Waitrose then please do so. Otherwise you can still get a physical or digital copy sent to you by subscribing below.
Thank you for your support.

Congratulations this is excellent news!
Excellent news!
It's a great achievement and you should be justifiably proud of it. If I can pick up a copy I will, and I'll continue to support byline as much as I can. You are sorely needed. Keep fighting. Keep writing..
