Byline Supplement - Launching Tuesday 29 November
You've been a loyal follower of Byline Times, TV or Radio, so be the first to join and get a 25% discount on our new online magazine and community
With social media in turmoil thanks to the big tech monopolies and their billionaire owners, we believe it is time to fight back and create a new place to investigate and understand our turbulent times.
So Byline Times, Byline TV, Byline Books and Byline Radio are joining forces to bring you a new Substack community: Byline Supplement, which launches this coming week.
We are building a community based around public interest journalism and the big ideas we need to change the world. Join us.
You can be the first to join the latest branch of the growing Byline media family, and because of your past loyalty, we’re offering you a 25% discount.
Your support in the past has helped us develop an independent and fearless media brand, now recognised by established players in the field – from the BBC to the Guardian – while highlighting the stories these news outlets won’t report on and why. Supplement aims to build on this – with even more analysis and engagement with our Byline community.
Every week, Supplement will be delivered to your inbox with exclusive analysis and investigations you won’t find elsewhere – offering a more in-depth and reflective; personal and ‘big picture’ take on current affairs.
We will deliver at least 20 stories a month, with our journalists and writers focusing on current affairs across Britain, the US and further afield.
As with the rest of Byline, we’ll be looking at the big issues of our times – from the climate emergency and dangers to democracy, to the threats posed by Big Tech, media corruption, populism, identity and culture wars, conflict and autocracy.
Most importantly, you will be at the heart of Supplement – because we want to hear what you have to say. What issues would you like to see more original reporting on? Is there an investigation you think needs further digging into? What are the ideas we need to think with rather than just think about?
What You Get from Byline Supplement
Paid Subscribers will get five exclusive articles delivered to their inbox every week, probing deeper behind the news, with longer investigations and unique analysis, alongside history, culture, philosophy and personal stories from our regular authors –including Hardeep Matharu, Adam Bienkov, Alexandra Hall Hall, Peter Jukes, Heidi Cuda, Otto English, Chris Grey, Nafeez Ahmed, Zarina Zabrisky and many more. There will also be the chance to ask questions of our team and authors directly.
Founding Members get all of the above but will also receive special briefings and Q&As with Supplement journalists and invites to our events, offline and online.
We’re really excited to be launching this new way of reaching you with our journalism – and allowing you to reach us with your ideas and insights.
Welcome to Byline Supplement!
Yours,
Peter Jukes, Stephen Colegrave, Hardeep Matharu, Adam Bienkov
