My fear is that Healey will waste time on alternative old-chestnut (and sadly idealogically driven) tax rises that will not raise the sums projected (CGT is a classic example - watch for the 'raise & reduce' outcome!); and some of which will stifle not encourage growth (cp, for example, the rise in employer's NI).
The UK does not even have a fit-for-purpose missile defence capability (and did you know that the national missile detection early warning system is managed by … Serco!!).
What price are ordinary taxpayers (no - just fleecing the rich sadly really doesn’t work) prepared to pay for securing peace & democracy in the UK & western Europe? The Baltics, Nordics, Poland and other nations are asking and answering this question.
